My 10mm wide angle lens has been sitting idle for way too long. I began to image it pleading from my gear bag, "please take me to Queens with you". My options were to either (a). grab the lens or (b). seek the services of a psychiatrist. Option (a) was decidedly the more economic and convenient choice. So here is my blue sky neuroleptic substitute for today, a scene from 31st Street in Astoria.

Clouded Corner
People in the midwest look at the sky for two reasons; either in awe of its beauty or wondering if the storm it brings is going to kill them. Fortunately in this case, it was the former. This photo was shot at the corner of Delaware and Market in downtown Indianapolis, near the City Market.

Best if viewed large...

Midwest Sky
Both these shots were taken in Indianapolis, which during all seasons, possesses the ability to flash us some wicked skies. From beautiful icy glazed sunsets in the winter to ominous tornado spawning wall clouds in the spring and summer, the midwest has it all...
This first shot was taken at the I-65/Delaware Street interchange with downtown in the background. A storm was rolling in while a sunset was in progress...

Its always an interesting phenomenon when an overcast sky features large Cumulus clouds... Taken near 16th and Illinois by Methodist Hospital...

16th and Alabama
The sky has been quite agreeable and photogenic the past few days. This silhouette is looking west down 16th Street right before sunset.

I have linked this image to its source page on Flickr. When there, you will be able to view larger sizes, look at tag data, and one of the most exciting features is the ability to create notes on the photograph (if you have a Flickr account you can make notes as well).
