Chaotic Intersection: Myrtle and Broadway

Myrtle and Broadway in my very own neighborhood, Bed Stuy is one of those types of intersections that makes me glad I don't have to drive in this city. Narrow Streets, Jay Walkers, Wide Buses and trucks, impatient drivers, and sheer volume of traffic make this horn blowing street corner a driving dystopia...

What's the Heidelberger Papers without a nice rant every now and then?

Blue Star

Taken from State Street on the near south side of Chicago, close to Chinatown...

New Flushing Noodle Rest

Taken near the corner of Roosevelt and Main Streets in Flushing, Queens. This intersection is one of the most diverse and busy in all of New York City...

Must view black on large, you may click the image to do so...

Bergen Street Bloom / Bergen Street Station

Spring comes to NYC; these were shot in an area of Brooklyn called Prospect Heights... Their exact locations are geotagged on each image's Flickr page...

Both are best if viewed large...

↓ONLY

Looking east down 10th Street from where it intersects with Central Avenue/East Street. Does this intersection really need such an elaborate configuration? I live near here, and never notice enough traffic that warrants this...

Miracle on 52nd Street

These were all taken at the corner of 52nd and College near Broad Ripple Village... I put quite a bit of detail in these shots, including snow and are best if viewed large (what a surprise huh?).

Stopped at Taste for breakfast, ended up having the bacon cheddar quiche; although it tasted great, I doubt its the healthiest thing around ;)
Blindly awaiting for sustenance; the glasses come off, because I hate wearing them when I shoot, but its a catch-22 because I can't see to operate the camera with them off..Oh well, I make it work.

It arrives, camera goes off, glasses go on :)

10th and Dearborn

I took some shots of E. 10th Street this weekend with this intersection as the focal point. I went out in the early hours to make use of the morning lighting. Most of these shots have quite a bit of detail to them and are much better if viewed large.

The Rivoli was built in 1927 and is rumored to be haunted...

New York and East

In the heart of Lockerbie Square...

This one is better if viewed large....

Have a lens set to 10mm and point it almost straight up = Interesting geometry

Meridian and McCarty

Shapiro's is located on the southwest corner of the intersection...

On the Southeast corner of the intersection...

On the Northwest side of the intersection, the building says Gill Saw Service...

Taking a peek inside, and the condition is worse than the outside... This is definitely worth a view in large.

Shapiro's is a long time Indianapolis icon, and quite a tasty one at that...

Near 9th and Delaware

This was one of my favorite childhood stores back in the day...

Completely abandoned, boarded up, and for sale; it may still be a while for this building with the current economy...

I have linked these images to their Flickr source page, which will allow you to view larger sizes, and have access to other cool collaboration tools.

29th and Washington Bl

In the heart of Mapleton-Fall Creek; not far from Ivy Tech and the Children's Museum. Many of the intersections in this area have some interesting, and somewhat complicated attributes; especially at Fall Creek Pkwy about a block south of here.
