Old IRT Style Station

The Lobby on the Brooklyn Bridge bound side of the 33rd Street station on the Lexington Avenue Line.  This is a local only station which the 6 train services and was opened in 1904.

Additional Scenes from the Pulaski

It all looks so small from here, the body of water below is Newtown Creek, which is not even a creek at all, but a tidal estuary that partially separates the boroughs of Brooklyn and Queens.  Even though it isn’t immediately evident here, this is one of the most heavily polluted body of water in the county.

It took me a few times to get this shot the way I wanted it. For those of you who are acquainted with photography know that metering light and dark areas within the same shot can be difficult. Taken near the corner of 51st and Lexington in Midtown Manhattan...

Chrysler Reflection

I'm on a bit of a red light phase at this point, so if it seems like I am or in the near future, beating it into the ground, I apologize...Well not really ;) This is one of those shots where I used an improvised tripod, in this case, an overflowing trash can. Looking down Lexington from 53rd Street in Midtown Manhattan.

Taken on an eerily calm Sunday morning boarding the J train into Manhattan from the Lorimer Street Station in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. I wish I could say every morning commute went down just like this, but no such luck.
