City Market Relic

This is what is left of the old Indianapolis City Market after it was destroyed by a fire. This shot was obviously taken during winter time...

RIP Constantino's Market Place

The City Market is bearing quite a hardship these days, this is one of its latest casualties...

The Dairy, The Whole Dairy, and Nothing But the Dairy...So help me my gastroenterologist ;)
These are best if viewed large...

Rusted Beauty

Ahhh, rust...Where neglect just feels so right! There's a hidden charm and beauty to the slow oxidation of metal that fascinates me.

Thats either rusted copper, or a vulcan crime scene... Behind the City Market.

Rust, fire escapes, and graffitti...These are a few of my favorite things... Behind One Indiana Square, close to the under construction building 3Mass.

The North end of the canal, close to 10th street.

North Illinois Street

The next three shots are from the same building on Court Street, close to East Washington Street and the Jail II.

I love this shot!

This one too. Those old metal stars are all over older parts of Indianapolis.

Under a railroad underpass on the section of Market street that is under construction.

Finally a Break!

Last Friday brought a well deserved respite from the brutal combination of copious amounts of snow fall and bitter cold temperatures. I took a few minutes to take a few shots at the end of the workday.

The sun started to radiate off of the street; been a while since I've experienced this.

Hallelujah!

Looking west down Market Street.

Its the City-County Building...And this is a pretty as its going to get. My apologies to the International style fans out there.

This was my favorite shot of the day...Taken from my office window.

Winter Time at the City Market

The Brick of the Plaza Grounds

Whoa! Almost inverted my feet.

Looking from the plaza toward the City-County Building

Closer look at the old arch.

Columns, Chairs, and Tables oh my!

One of the few warm and sunny places around these days.

South Wall.

Decorations are going up.

Lunch Break.
Its so cold, you can see buildings breathing...

One thing about living in Indiana, is that you have to be prepared for inconsistent weather.
