Have trouble sleeping? How do you handle it? If you're me, a late night venture into dark alleyways around my neighborhood with my camera does the trick. These are shots of various places along Alabama and Delaware Streets in the St. Joseph area.
One did slow and do a double take as he drove by...I guess I wasen't too ominous looking; good as far as the cops are concerned, but bad if I encounter a real prowler.
I love your night shots. They usually turn into monotones, for which you have a very fine eye. Especially like the one that includes the puddle reflection and small beam through the tree. Great subject elements there.
Thanks! The first one is my favorite as well...I'm a huge fan of high contrast black and whites and will sometimes pop in a 1940's film noir classic for inspiration :) I really like monotone night shots because I never need to worry about color balance or saturation...only light (which I have a much better eye for).

Hope you don't have to explain to any cops why you're wandering around the 'hood at night with a camera... :)

I really like these. I love the contrast of the bright light and dark alley on the first one.
