Messed Up Intersections around Indianapolis - Massachusetts and Valley

This new series is dedicated to all the messed up, interesting, and unique intersections around Indianapolis whom where creative solutions to various transportation challenges. The intersection featured here is where Massachusetts Ave. meets Valley Ave on the northeast side of Indianapolis. In order to keep the track level to grade, it was elevated above the dip at the intersection, leaving an interesting and somewhat hazardous intersection...

I slow way down when I roll through there going southwest. Yikes.

I know exactly what you mean, you can't see a thing on your right. One of the few intersections that is safer at night; you can, at the very least, see headlight beams...

Locals know that's the way to avoid train backups on Keystone/Rural. Locals also know not to inch out on Valley until the light changes. :)
