L.I.C 2.0

A softer, gentrified gentler Long Island City brings costly condos to an area that was and is, in large part, still contains industrial, working class housing, and the Queensbridge public housing complex.  The neighborhood’s proximity to the Upper East Side of Manhattan has determinately sealed this inevitability.  Taken near Queensboro Plaza, which is at the foot of the Queensboro…err…Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge.

Screwed the Rodent

This is but a tiny one, unlike the ferret-sized, one that ran across my feet this evening on my way home from the subway... I assure you, it was already dead when I found it, in the Financial District; where much larger rats run freely in human form.
