Brooklyn Blues

A few old railcar tracks and cobblestone streets still remain in a few Brooklyn neighborhoods, Dumbo is one of them.

York York York York York

Just which station do you think this was taken? For those readers that are not familiar New York, this station is located along the F / 6th Avenue Line in Brooklyn. This photo is best if viewed larger, you may click this image to do so.

NYC, Rearranged

Going this day forward, the Brooklyn Bridge shall be rerouted to Midtown, the Manhattan Bridge to Battery Park, and a few major skyscrapers will also be relocated. What fun one can have with double exposures. Taken from the Brooklyn Bridge Park / Empire-Fulton Ferry Park / Dumbo area of Brooklyn. When the Superbowl is going on, this is what I do.

Cold Day in Brooklyn

Its cold and I have a cold; this shot illustrates how I physically feel. When its cold in New York (especially in Lower Manhattan), the buildings tunnel the wind, amplifying its brutality. This phenomenon is not too much unlike what happens in Chicago. This shot was taken from looking toward Manhattan from Jay Street in Dumbo, Brooklyn.

Urbanize Chaos

The autos win the day in this area of Brooklyn. Standing between Downtown Brooklyn, and Dumbo, this is where the Brooklyn--Queens Expressway meets the Manhattan Bridge. Pestrians: Put on your running shoes...

2 AM Night Swim I

Well OK, I wouldn't swim in the East River, but I did stand at its edge (at the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservatory) and hung out with several young lovers making out, shooting some photos of this classic piece of infrastructure; the Manhattan Bridge...

Scenes From Vinegar Hill

Vinegar Hill is a neighborhood just due East of Dumbo in Brooklyn. Like dumbo, it was previously an industrial area that has seen revitalization by the art scene among others. I would also like to apologize in advance for I'm struck by the mood to make bad puns and jokes today (and it found its way in this post), so bear with me here ;)

You may also view these shots large by clicking one them.

The Manhattan Bridge and Lower Manhattan skyline is pictured in the distance...

More cobblestone streets, do you think I like them much?

Death from Above!

Pay phone Darwinism: A pay phone that has evolved to adapt to its harsh jimmying environment. Love the graffiti work here!

A Day in DUMBO

Not the elephant that sports well endowed ears, but a neighborhood in Brooklyn called Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass.

Both of these shots are from York Street, this one is looking at the Midtown skyline in Manhattan across the East River...

Also on York Street but looking the opposite way...

Both these shots have been geotagged in Flickr and recommend checking them out to take a peek at the interesting geography and layout of the area. As per usual, I also recommend viewing these in large as well. You may do both these things by clicking on the shot...
