Was better as the Dungeon. At least the outside. Inside I don't know.

Is that the Steer Inn across the street? Gone now I guess.

Only one way to find out.

Limited assumptions on your part? or is it norhside snobbery?
The Steer Inn is alive and well, probably better that it ever has been. Stop by some time. The Stripper bar was closed when the neighborhood came out in force and spoke out against it at their liquor permit renewal? I believe. The girls dance school is still active. Eastsiders did not miss the irony of those two businesses side by side. You are obviuously not an eastsider, but enjoy makeing the snide remarks at our expense?

I've actually lived on the eastside for about 12 years, born on the south side and only recently moved downtown; before which I've never lived on the north side. It is never the intention of this blog to make snide comments at neighborhoods or its people, but my dorky facetious attempts to amuse myself while exploring my hometown...

On a further note...I believe the readers of this blog are intelligent enough to figure out that the dance club doesn't really teach exotic dancing without me explaining that to them...

The Steer Inn is there and I do have a shot of it for a series in which I feature small local Indianapolis businesses...Coming soon.

Anonymous internet tough guys are always fun. You know you've made it when you start reaching them. Congrats.

I live just south of that place and I probably have said that some joke more than once. You can't ignore the irony.

There's some people that live on this side of town that are so tired of hearing negative news/statements that they snap when even a light hearted joke is made. It is a little annoying when you have to defend your neighborhood to people that only know about in from the news they see.

Anyway, I get it it and laughed. Keep up the good work.

Thanks guys...I never intend for my jokes or comments to draw blood...I love irony, and when I come across it in my travels, it is highly probable that it will make it on this blog; regardless of the side of town :).

The sides of town and neighborhoods of Indianapolis are unique and have a culture and history all their own...It is my goal to explore and document as many as I can.

Hey! My daughter studies at Dance Arts! Pat (the owner) is one of the most respected dance instructors around.

However, I did get the humor and do not take offense. I'd be lying if I didn't make a crack like that myself. ;-)

Love the photos....love the blog! Keep it up.
