I love the Central Avenue bridge, perhaps because it's so much less like the other five in the middle of town (Delaware, Meridian, Illinois, Capitol, Boulevard). It has that ancient castle feel, plus those neat pedestrian bulges and wide sidewalks.
I also know how you took your life in your hands taking that picture from the middle of the Meridian bridge back toward the Great Wall of Fall Creek Place that holds up Kessler Park. It's hard to sight in a photo when a bus mirror could bust your butt any second.
Thundermutt: The Central Avenue bridge does look like something that should be over a moat or something like that...It was a little scary on the Meridian Street bridge; even scarier when drivers are on their cell phones and cruising in excess of 45MPH.

There was this one time I was helping a friend move. During the process, we must have gotten too close to a nest; to make a long story short, I watched my friend get 'goosed'...

Very cool and great colors and contrast. I found your blog a few weeks ago and I dig it.

Totally right about the geese! I have a sick love of their chutzpah though.

I always thought that with the right high-density development, that statues on the pedestals between the balustrades would look really cool!
