Near the intersection of 16th Street and Central Avenue on the Old North Side...

We used to live two block from there, and I remember when it was still open. Though, I can't say we ever stopped in for a hamburger!

I live only a few blocks from this place as well. I've not been there long, so I've never seen it open before...

I also used to live near here, at 17th and Central, so I'm very familiar with this place. It seemed to open and close a lot (maybe seasonal?) for an odd mix of things, never exactly the same each time. Like Sarah, I never set foot inside.

I lived at Pavilion Place, 17th and Central, from 2003-2005. Our upstairs neighbor worked for IMPD and said the building south of us housed a drug operation. It was a strange contrast to the houses being built on New Jersey St. and selling for $500k!

Oh Marney (IMPD officer) -- good memories. I lived there too, from 2002-2004, in the 1st floor unit right on the corner of 17th and Central. I think I remember you, Sarah. I really loved our apartment there, just wish there was anything worth walking to around there.

The thing I find amusing about that area is how people were complaining when I first moved in about Kroger dragging their feet for years about replacing the Scary Kroger there. Here were are, almost 7 years later and they're still dragging their feet. I feel like that whole stretch of 16th is just waiting to take off if Kroger puts a great URBAN grocery store right on the corner of 16th and Central.

I'm pretty fortunate to live close enough to the Marsh in Lockerbie to walk there, but this Kroger would be awesome and incidently, closer, if they were to redo it.

@CorrND Wow, so then we were next door neighbors, if you and your brother were the ones with a puppy.

Yeah, Marnie! She moved a house on Delaware St., and the building kind of went down hill after that. Some guy that looked like Vanilla Ice moved in...ugh.

Scary Kroger was very scary! Would've been so nice to walk there and shop. The only thing worth walking to was the Talbot St. Art Fair, once a year!

Yep, that was us. I was pretty sure you were next door. The guy that lived there before you was a total nightmare. I think Marnie ended up getting Van Rooy to evict him.

And agreed about Talbot St -- about the only thing we ever walked to.
