Washington Street, Front and Center

This stretch of Washington Street that runs through the heart of the Wholesale district is slowly beginning to see new life. Several restaurants have called this stretch of some of the oldest buildings in downtown home.

This end needs some work although the shadow casted by the Barnes and Thornburg building performs a merciful service for the McQuat building.
I've been experimenting with usings flickr with this blog; I have made notes on the flickr page for some of these images; feel free to leave some of your own if you would like. Clicking each image will link to their respective flickr page.

I love Flickr as the photo engine for my blog.

That McQuat building, ugh, it sure needs some love.

Indeed it does, business are now starting to come to that area, so maybe when the economy sufficently recovers, it will recieve much needed love.
