Keystone and Prospect

At the intersection of Keystone Ave and Prospect Street...

This is actually at Keystone and Pleasant Run Pkwy, but there was some curiosity about this gas container at the no longer operating Citizen's Gas and Coke facility, so I decided to shoot it when I was down there...

I was wondering when you were going to capture that big blue mammoth!

This mammoth was an easy specimen to locate :)

Very cool sky tones on the upward view/street sign photo. The judiciously cropped and/or included structure on the right with its patterned facade and rich-red window frame is a nice visual bonus.

I call that type of building front "carpet facade". I always wonder what they were thinking when they slapped that on a building.

Thanks Joe! The sky has been unusually beautiful and un-hazy for the past two weeks or so.

There are so many houses around Indianapolis that use this type of siding. I understand that trends change and the aspects that make something aesthetically pleasing evolve with time, but what I can't figure out is how this type of exterior was never considered an assault to the eyes...

As someone who is constantly shuffling back and forth between Bloomington and Indianapolis, I can sometimes get a little jaded by life on the east side. I find myself longing for greener pastures so to speak. But thanks for reminding me of all the hidden beauty my hometown has to offer. I chose one at random to comment on, but really I love them all. Thanks and keep up the excellent work!
