Rusted Beauty

Ahhh, rust...Where neglect just feels so right! There's a hidden charm and beauty to the slow oxidation of metal that fascinates me.

Thats either rusted copper, or a vulcan crime scene... Behind the City Market.

Rust, fire escapes, and graffitti...These are a few of my favorite things... Behind One Indiana Square, close to the under construction building 3Mass.

The North end of the canal, close to 10th street.

North Illinois Street

The next three shots are from the same building on Court Street, close to East Washington Street and the Jail II.

I love this shot!

This one too. Those old metal stars are all over older parts of Indianapolis.

Under a railroad underpass on the section of Market street that is under construction.

Love the shot of the north end of the canal. The canal in general has so many spots - especially down toward the state museum - where waterfalls give way to rust sculptures during our colder months. It's a phenomenon that's both depressing and facinating, watching our public places react to the change in season.

What's cool about that end of the canal is that it is probably the most colorful part this time of year.
