Taken from a platform of the Smith and 9th Subway station in the Gowanus neighborhood of Brooklyn. This station is one of two stations that sits on the elevated Culver Viaduct, which elevated subway service above the Gowanus Canal, is the highest point of elevation in the entire system, carries the G and F trains, and is currently under heavy construction. Given its elevation, you can see many parts of the city including most of Manhattan, Brooklyn, and the Statue of Liberty, which may be seen here.
