Desolation Row

This is looking north on Keystone Avenue; taken from the Minnesota Street bridge that is in close proximity of where it intersects with Bethel Avenue...

The scene is like a miniature, and much greener, version of the stretch of Madison Ave. between Southern Ave. and Terrace Ave... four lanes in a channel with an ancient concrete railroad overpass.

I don't comment on every picture on this blog, but I wanted to register my vote of "I love this stuff" as well. Keep up the good work. I hope someday you are able to reap some financial benefit from your labors, be it through prints or even a book.

Thanks! I know that stretch of Madison well; I used to live pretty close to it and used to travel it everyday on my commute. The paint by numbers mural brightened up the stretch a little bit, but still a depressing 'tunnel'. I was once told that the soil used to dig that stretch was used as fill dirt for the football field for Manual HS, but not entirely sure...
