Even with the Riley Towers flanking it on all sides, the vintage character of an institution of the St. Joseph neighborhood shines through.

About the boarded up building, is that on Pennsylvania just south of 11th Street? I know there's another building about a block or two away that's being rehabbed into condos--I called a few weeks ago and it's still happening, even in these dour economic times.AmericanDirthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04600555386886915000noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1323100820405624470.post-68984904587820397162009-09-18T23:35:06.948-04:002009-09-18T23:35:06.948-04:00The Leon's picture is also a portrait of the o...The Leon's picture is also a portrait of the old Indianapolis downtown. What a neat composition ... very strong elements, foreground and background. Nice grab, Matt.

Also enjoy the map store shot ... and how the neon sign, small as it is, still manages to grab your attention.Joe Konzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15691673321843499755noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1323100820405624470.post-57477071208633021902009-09-17T15:59:48.953-04:002009-09-17T15:59:48.953-04:00Thanks Rebecca!
