Icy Walk along New Utrect Avenue

 

My photographic documentation of the city tend to slow to the crawl during winter months.  I find it difficult to muster the motivation to squeeze in time for a photographic section during inclimate weather, but something had to give, and it occurred on a windy, 18 degree, February day.  This walk took place on New Utrect Avenue in the Borough Park section of Brooklyn.

Well Armed Architecture


One of the buildings with the coolest Romanesque architecture in NYC is the Kingsbridge Armory in The Bronx. Its future use has been somewhat of an area of political contention for the city and the Bloomberg administration.
